A waste of bits and bandwidth

L7 “Summer” Picnic 2010 at Belcarra. Saturday would have been a much better choice but a good time was had by all.

Went to see Garth Turner on Thursday at the Four Seasons. He’s quite the entertaining speaker and pretty funny to boot. I suppose that’s an easier conclusion to come to when you agree with his theories.

I really thought he’d be taller…

So, I find myself trying to comprehend how it has been ten years since I moved into tech. Turning the page on Chapter 1 and starting out with a new, fresh chapter.

Ten years ago a very wet behind the years version of me walked into Stockhouse.com and began Chapter 2. Oddly, I don’t really recall that first day nearly as much as I remember the day I went to sign up and get my swag.

Perhaps that was the more important day anyway; it was certainly more exciting. I still have my jacket and a hat somewhere…

Let me tell you, the second ten years went a hell of a lot faster than the ten years that made up Chapter 1. …and yet the same feelings emerge…

The iPhone is a pretty handy camera in a pinch… There was a festival of some sort on Davie St this weekend but we never figured out what it was.
