God Save the Queen

The weekend started busy and tapered off slowly. Friday we were out with friends to see Robin Hood, which was decent, followed by dinner at Earls Cactus Club which was passable at best. Our waitress was either Paris Hilton or Ashley Simpson and as you can probably imagine, that wasn’t a good thing.
Saturday was spent in Squamish where I had a pastrami on rye which just about killed me in the best possible way. We could have split that sandwich and still skipped dinner.
Sunday was spent milling around downtown and shopping before settling in for the big Lost finale. The finale was OK but I wish more of the island secrets had been revealed. I was a little worried about how they’d wrap things up but it was good in the end.

iPod Photo Cache
You don’t need to read this unless you are an iPhoto user wondering if it’s safe to delete your iPod photo cache.
I was poking around inside the package and noticed that my iPod Photo Cache directory was bigger that my Originals directory. On what planet does that make sense and why doesn’t iPhoto try to be helpful and clean up after itself?
A quick Google search determined that it should be safe to delete as the cache would be rebuilt. I backed up the drive to be safe and re-synced my iPod. I acknowledged a warning that this was the first time I was syncing my photos and I was off.
Old cache 8GB. New cache 162MB. Your iPod photo cache is safe to delete.
