Windows: 1 hour to set-up, 6 months of maintenance. Linux: 6 months to set-up, 1 hour of maintenance. Until I had to reinstall Ubuntu from scratch about a year ago. After reinstalling all my applications and changing settings to meet my needs (like reducing the geriatrically huge font size), I realized that I couldn't find anything else to do. And I had only worked on it on two separate occasions. I can't really make my joke anymore. I used to make a joke about Linux vs Windows. Windows: 1 hour to set-up, 6 months of maintenance.
