As I understand it, the plane was fine but everyone in economy was reduced to ashes.

Wow, that looks like it went through the entire airframe, front to back. Amazing.
I’ve had a few close calls trying to navigate thunder storms before but never been hit. I imagine it’d have less than desirable results on a helicopter.
Oh, and Technorati is so 2006. Get with it dude.
