Well, it’s official. At least in Korea; MiHwa and I are married. We spent yesterday running around like headless chickens in an attempt to get all the documents certified. BTW, should you ever try to submit a document to the Korean registry, get it translated to Korean. I guess they don’t dig English… I also learned that no matter where you are, government workers are all the same. Indifferent drones.

We left downtown for MyeongDong where we did dome shopping and saw a movie before grabbing a bite for dinner.

Anyway, the wife is at work today, so I’m doing the Biff thing; did the dishes, cleaned up a little and did some laundry. MiHwa told me that they are testing the fire alarms today so I wouldn’t be surprised. As often happens, she left out the more important details.

I’m standing in my underwear doing the dishes when the doorbell rings. I looked at the front door LCD and no one is there, so I stick my head out the door only to see a worker walking down the hall. Now he did say something to me but oddly I didn’t understand him so I went back to my dishes. 2 minutes later, the door opens and some other guy walks right in, says something to me and begins to test the smoke detector. There I am in my underwear, doing the dishes with iTunes pounding away. Him: *Korean – roughly translated to ‘nice boxers’* Me: Hey

There was an uneasy silence as I kept doing the dishes and he kept testing the smoke detector. It was probably for the best… What do you say? Mental note, lock the damn door.

Well, I’m off to COEX.
