Contractual Obligation

Chinatown

Well, this is lovely; my server seems to be melting down and I can’t get to my site (if you’re reading this, it’s fixed… There was some table overhead in my db. *mental note* ask MiHwa what table overhead is…)

Had a nice dinner at Janice and Dan’s place Saturday evening. Kim and Jen were there as well and we shared a fine meal and many laughes. I learned two things:

    a) if you beat whipped cream too long it will suddenly separate into something resembling cottage cheese
    b) if Janice asks you to play Twister, just say no and leave the room. ‘Nuff said…

Sunday was really nice out so I decided to get out and take some pictures in and around Chinatown. It was a perfect day for it and I really enjoyed myself. Today had a very Sunday feel; go figure… Inexplicably, I decided to get a bus home only to get on the No. 3 *shudder* where I toured the very worst of the Downtown Eastside. I stayed on the bus, riding right past where I got on except that I was now going in the other direction. Sheepishly, I got out at Main St. and took the train.

Sorry for the lack of posts. Actually, I’m not but I am trying to justify my hosting costs. Most of my neighbours seem to be on their meds, so nothing blogworthy has happened lately. I’ve got my eye out tho…

One week later…

…and nothing happened. Good then; everything’s back to normal.

I’m back on Pacific time, thank you very much. My jet lag recovery was pretty good apart from Monday where I nearly died. Likely an alergic reaction to being back at work.

The knee I had injured on the first week when I missed a couple of stairs, is now much better. I’m betting this has something to do with not walking around for 8 hours a day. Hopefully the wife (I guess I can call her that publicly now) will stop telling me to go see a doctor. I’m a guy. Guys don’t go to doctors unless something’s broken.

I have the trip page done; sans banner. I haven’t come up with one yet but I guess I’ll whip one up at some point. The observant reader will notice that it’s been there for a while but if I thought any of you were actually reading, I wouldn’t be mentioning it now.

For reasons unknown, I decided to upgrade my Flickr account to a Pro and upload 98% of the 450+ pics I took. Please go have a look so that my $30 wasn’t spent for nothing. Now that I have a Pro account, I’m all motivated to upload more of my pics!

Too bad they all suck…
