Seat 77C

We’ll, I’m back safe and sound from my Asia 2006 tour. Should you ever find yourself flying on a Boeing 747-400, insist on on seat 77C on the upper deck. 77A would also be cool. Just trust me on this one; it’s the best seat in economy. Front of the plane, upper deck, window seat and emergency aisle. You’ll thank me and you’re welcome.
This was indeed the best trip yet. I saw lots of Korea, had a vacation within my vacation, went through a typhoon, drove (and lived) met the future inlaws and got engaged. I’ve also concluded that while Tokyo is undeniably cool, I really do like Seoul better. This is probably because I know it better and it’s cheaper. After three trips, I feel pretty comfortable around there. I never really did get used to people looking at me though…
I built the trip pages for the 2006 page before I left but have little in the way of motivation to work on them yet. I imagine this will be the last time that I bother with it as it looks like frequent trips are now a permanent part of my future.
I seem to be adjusted now. I stayed up for 28 hours once I got home and that kinda forces you to get over the jet lag in a hurry. The flights get easier the more you do them but I never really get used to the odd feeling of being home again after the trip. “Well I better do some laundry and buy groceries…” Talk about back to reality…
