I’ve been giving some thought to the future of this blog. I’m thinking about going dark. At least for a while anyway.
I’ve been feeling obligated to write entries and lately, I just haven’t been in the mood to do it. Either that or the only blogworthy events are of such a personal nature that I wasn’t about to blog about them. I guess that means that they aren’t really blogworthy.
I’m not into blogging about work as that’s a good way to get fired and who the hell cares anyway. Next time I get laid off, I’ll blog about it. Actually I doubt that I would be fired for blogging where I work now, but no one knows. No one knew at the last place until after I left and even then it was only 2 people that I totally trusted.
I’ve been thinking about making it a more technical site. I like writing about cool software that I find useful. Maybe I’ll do that but it’s not as if there aren’t a million other better sources of information out there.
So if there aren’t any site changes for a while it’s because I’m trying to figure out what to do. May I suggest that you grab the RSS feed and watch it for changes. That’ll work unless I dump MT…
Who knows, who cares… In the meantime, I’ll be playing Grand Theft Auto.

Y’know, I’ve always thought about setting up a site that just ran phpBB(?). Essentially it would just be a discussion area for friends and family, good for organizing events and such. You could always put your articles about tech on something like that. Not quite the flexibility of a full fledged site but infinitely easier to maintain and you don’t have to be the only one maintaining the content.

Sounds like you are in a bit of a slump which is understandable. You’ve been doing this for some time. However, although you don’t ‘think’ you have anything of interest to post, don’t underestimate how many friends you have and look forward to reading your daily musings.
I’m not one of them mind you but I’m sure there is someone out there who enjoys this drivel…
