Well, I chickened out on doing the full upgrade. Actually it just wasn’t required. I downloaded the upgrade, tweaked three files and ran a script. That’s it. A new database is up and running and no need to take the site down.
Now I need to learn some MySQL queries and I’ll be getting somewhere. Luckily for me, MiHwa is a database master so I think I’ll be picking her brain from time to time.
If only a new database could improve the quality of my posts…

googling “mysql syntax” will probably garner you all the help that you’ll need to construct whatever you need. Its a nicely documented db…
But googling “Tubgirl” will probably garner you all the help that you’ll need construct bad, bad images in your head for many days in a row.
