I’ve locked YOU out

February 17th, 2005

Hey, if you have an xbox you’d better check out the recall notice… Even their hardware needs to be patched!! ROTFLMAO!! Mine is OK but yours is probably spontaneously combusting as you read this…

I went to my first Giants game last night and it was good fun. I survived the #10 bus through the Downtown Eastside; it was a freakshow though I have to say it wasn’t as bad as I had envisioned.

I even got interviewed by CBC radio (Catharine bolted on me like a frightened bunny when buddy walked up) regarding the NHL while we were waiting for the last of our party to arrive. Don’t know if they’ll use it or not; if you happen to hear it, let me know.

The game wasn’t the greatest; they were shutout 3-0 by Red Deer but it was much fun to see live hockey. Not to mention a seat in row 9 was $19; thanks for picking up the tickets Spanky.

I stopped for breakfast at the golden arches on my way to work today. I haven’t gone there to eat in so long but I thought “what the hell…” The Granville and Smithe location is a friggin’ freakshow. Street people loitering around out front, sleeping at tables and wandering around begging for change… This whole damn city is going to hell with derelicts and I don’t think there is a firehose big enough to deal with them.

Now that I have enraged the bleeding hearts, I shall close.

I heard you Mark – 6:40am sports, mentioned your name. Mark Swan blah blah blah, “We’ve been talking about going to game a long time now. Those highly paid pansies that make the big bucks just aren’t worth seeing, so we figured we’d take in the house league. It was either that or just another night at the peeler bar”. Something like that anyway…

Damn, I was at that game too (free tix from work). How could we have missed you? There was only like 7,000 people there and I’m pretty sure you would have stuck out… being a white guy at a hockey game and all. Hahahha. Too bad, we could have groaned at the terrible Giants together. I mean Red Deer wasn’t exactly good either but at least they were consistent. What a crowd too !!! I swear they tranq’d everybody at the door. The 20 Red Deer fans were louder than the 7000 Giants fans.

Yeah, I was talking to J last night and she mentioned that you were there. We were over in section C which was the Red Deer end. Spanky figured that was where all the action would be…

It was fun but the Giants didn’t play well at all. That’s easier to take when the ticket was only $19!
