The weather office has been predicting snow for a while now. I ignored it as i)they are usually wrong and ii)even if it does snow, it’ll never snow down here by the water. Wrong. There was lots of snow in the West End. Well, maybe not lots but enough. “The rain is in a strange, solid state! The sky must be falling!!”
I ended up walking to work as the buses seemed not to be running very well (read: not running at all). Given the number of people standing at the stop I thought better of it and headed off on foot.
I guess that’s the one downside of living and working downtown; no excuse for a snow day. How strange that it was exactly a year ago that it snowed…

Back to work yesterday; wow, that felt like an 18 hour shift. I haven’t had a day go that slowly in a long time. If that’s the trade off for getting 10 days off, I guess I’ll take it.
I bought myself some toys recently, which perhaps explains why I haven’t posted. Or maybe I have nothing to say. More likely a combination of both. Normally I’d go into great geek detail about what I bought and what I’m doing or planning to do with them. Now, not so much. I bought toys and my free time is spent playing with them.
I guess I have less interest in narrating the pointless details of day to day life. Updating was feeling like an obligation towards the end of last month. When I took the site down to upgrade I nearly pulled the plug on it all. In the end I kinda missed it.
I’m now sitting here wondering what it was that I missed so much…
