…spent going through my access logs and what did I find? A number of jackballs linking to my Asian pictures. Mostly on forums and message boards so I get no credit and yet they chew up my bandwidth. Nice.
I re-named the pics and briefly gave thought to uploading some nasty ‘adult’ pics of the same name as the originals but I thought better of that. I recall the same thing happening to Paul; someone linked to his Turkey pics and then called them cheesy…
I guess it should be flattering that someone thought my pics good enough to link to but there’s something about it that pisses me off. Am I going to have to tag all of them with my URL in the future? I hope not.
The day started off well enough; I met up with Neil, Dan and Brian for lunch in Yaletown. It was a belated birthday brunch for Brian and we laughed that the year is off to a good start as it’s only two days past his birthday. Normally, we get together in July and just call it good for the four of us.
Despite the rain, I wandered around snapping some pics (which will probably be stolen soon…). I grabbed a 512MB SD card for my camera on Friday so I wanted to put it to use. Now I won’t have any storage concerns when I’m in Korea this April. MiHwa won’t have as much time off this time, so it’ll be me on the subway checking out Seoul on my own. Dumb ass white guy in foreign country + lots of spare time = lots of pics!
Maybe I’ll put a few from today on Flickr if I get some motivation.

And I wouldn’t make a link to a porn picture - but I would change it to a graphic that says “The person who linked to this image is a BANDWIDTH STEALER”.
I had a picture of Sean putting on nylons for Halloween last year and I was dumb enough to title it “sn_nylons” and people keep going to that page from Google Images.
Same goes for a picture of Joe with no shirt on (”no_shirt.jpg”) and my car when the side mirror got sheared off by a bus (”amputee.jpg”). Stupid, stupid me.
And gross, gross internet.
It’s a pain that I should have to do it.. must be a lot worse for you given the amount of pics that you have online.
Actually those are the only main offenders: Nylons, amputee, and no_shirt.
There was also that *super creepy* month when numerous “little boy” porn sites were linking to a picture of my 9-year-old cousin (fully clothed) but I contacted the police and they sent me directly to some Federal office in West Virginia that asked for the log of all ip addresses that clicked the link. HEE HEE! Dirty bastards.
