Hello, good evening and welcome. I come to you from my bunker complex, deep below the Manitoba crust. I will not be accepting callers as I prepare my 2005 predictions. To wit: I predict abundant harvests next year, despite acute shortages of seed, fertilizer, equipment, sun, rain, land and financing for farmers.

Before I retreated to my enclave, I did indeed register for a course at BCIT. I had given thought to doing the Securities Course again but it’s $800 these days! WTF? I paid $375 when I took it the first time. Then there’s the fact that I’ve already done it…

I don’t know how far I’ll go; I just want to take the class and see what happens. Maybe I’ll go for the certificate if it goes well. I think my previous economics and law credits should be valid so that would give me 4 of the 22 credits I need before I even start.

It’s something. I’m content with what I’m doing these days but it’s not what it used to be. I used to passionate and willing to do whatever it took. Now, not so much… I think I’ve become a little jaded and cynical with the tech industry. I do my job, I go home and then repeat the cycle.

I hope to be in tech for a good while yet but I think it’s a good to look for something that will re-ignite that fire again.
