The lid on my salad dislodged itself on the way to work yesterday so the inside of my bag was covered in raspberry vinaigrette. Let me tell you, it was a big-ass salad; (a man needs his greens) what a freakin’ mess.
Work was a bit slow for me yesterday, so I decided to take advantage of the free time and work on my portfolio a little. I came up with a tweaked version of The Global Couch Potato Portfolio. I spent all of last night working on it and this morning I made five trades. E*Trade was probably wondering where all the activity was coming from as I haven’t been very active lately. Not having an income will do that.
I sold part of one position and bought four more which look to be solid performers. I’m still holding this POS ’cause it’s hardly worth the commission to sell it. Thanks George.
Against my better judgement, I watched The Amazing Race last night and it was really good. I already hate the rich guy, as I’m sure most people do. Whatta dweeb…
Oh, and if you ever need to pack a brain, (you could send one to the rich guy) here’s a HOWTO for you…

Thanks for that howto link……you never know when you need to send in a sample.
Gotta love Amazing Race – it is the only reality show that I will watch. Already hate the married entrepreneurs (the guy in the yellow jacket). What a totally driven asshole.
Yeah, I know what you mean about IW – holding it myself because it will cost more to sell it than I’ll get back. Sadly, there’s a few in my portfolio in that position – always nice to look back fondly on the remenants of the .com dream
The only reason I hold on to my 10 shares of IW (which cost me $4 to buy) is to get the paperwork. I still listen to most of the conference calls for a good laugh. Although the annual reports are pretty funny too. Gone are the days of glossy backed reports making way for photocopied pages with white out
LOL.
Yes, we watched the race too. And although I thought it was quite good, I do have a problem with it this time…
In last season, the team you loved to hate was Colin & Christie. You hated them but it made for good watching.
Now, is it just me? Or does almost every couple on the show look like a Colin & Christie? Almost every team fights and screams and swears at each other. I already hate about 80% of them. No longer is it entertaining to watch which team outperforms… but what team is going to self-destruct first…
Which, I think, changes the show… and not necessarily for the better.
I don’t watch AR because I know better. Two TV shows a week is embarassing enough.
And I’ve had Starbucks stock for a few years now and it’s been very good to me.
Dayment, is that a tip?
yes.
