This is the reason you might have had difficulty reaching the site last night. I thought I should alert you ’cause I know a lot of you stay home on Saturday evenings to browse the vast Sevenapril repository of stupidity.
Wow, what a football game today! I’m not much of a fan and was just going to check out the start and then move on but I was glued to the TV all afternoon. The Lions are on their way to the Grey Cup after an OT win!
I was just as happy to see BC Place filled with fans for the first time in a long time. You have to wonder if that would have been the case had the Canucks played the night before…
So ends my four day ‘vacation’ and while I had no real plans heading in, I wonder where the time went. Now it’s Sunday night and I have all sorts of ideas for things I could have done. Next weekend…

Hey Mid-plight…
Too many Seagate crashes for my comfort lately.
Thanks for the birthday wishes. Yeah, backups, I have them from October 2003, but I had just finished moving all my shiznitz from the old computer to the new computer and was going to make backups when… anyhow… thank god for GetDataBack, at least I didn’t lose any of Jani or the girl’s stuff. Just mine
D
Get yourself a spare drive and check out SyncBack.

It’s simple to setup/use and works like a charm.
Seeing how I had to buy a new drive to get me over the hump until Seagate sends me a “refurbished” drive in exchange for my 60 day old drive, I had to go out and buy another SATA drive. I was thinking of using a software RAID and mirroring a partition on both drives that I would use for backups. Any experience with this?
I haven’t set up RAID before. I don’t think it’s all that tricky but what do I know? You might want to ping Randy about that.
If you have a SATA drive, you should have RAID on your motherboard. I know my box does but I haven’t got a spare SATA drive to try it out.
I’m using SyncBack as it’s a good excuse to keep that old P3 around. I have the box tucked behind the sofa and remote in if I need to.
