Since I stole the 200 things meme, (to date I have yet to post it) I decided to steal this idea as well…

The good news is that the comments are back and working again.

Not being particularily intelligent to begin with I thought I had screwed up MT-Blacklist. I posted on the message boards and Jay Allen himself asked me some questions, one of which got me thinking about what I had actually done.

Of course I hadn’t used MT-Blacklist to ban that IP, I used MT. That would explain why I couldn’t find the entry in my blacklist; it was never there.

Now I feel even dumber than usual but everything’s working again…

The comments are hosed so I turned them off. I’m pissed as this one is my fault but so far I see no way around it.

I’ve re-installed MT-Blacklist twice but my database still has the offending tables in it. I’m not sure of how to access the DB directly so until I can figure that out you’ll have to hold off on telling me how wonderful I am…

Other that that, all I can do is wait for a fix (apparently on its way) or move to MySQL.

I hate it when it’s my fault…
